Volunteers
We have opportunities for a limited number of volunteers
to work with us in Calcutta. Calcutta Rescue India
employs 150 local staff, including doctors and health
workers. However, other qualified health professionals
are not so easy to find in West Bengal. Most nurses,
pharmacists, and physiotherapists can easily find work in
the comfortable surroundings of a private hospital, and
so we find great difficulty convincing them to work in
the basic conditions of a Calcutta Rescue clinic. We
therefore look to our support groups to find us
volunteers to fill these positions.

Volunteering is a rewarding and challenging experience.
If you would like to offer your skills, and think you
have the required qualifications, please contact your
local support group, or Calcutta
Rescue India if there is no support group in your
country. Our Support groups also need volunteers to help
with raising funds and awareness at home. Please get in
touch if you can spare some time and energy to help them
support the projects in India.
We rely on your help, encouragement and support.
As long as it continues, we can continue to move towards
a brighter and more equitable future.
